A 16-part synth built for weight
Nebula Genesis is a 16-part synthesizer with six oscillator engines, seven filter models and a full effects rack per part. It is designed for fat, punchy sound, with a Fat knob, Low End Lock and analog-style drive built in.
Also in Nebula Complete and All Access.

Highlights
What sets it apart
Fat knob and Low End Lock
One knob turns the drive, stacking, weight and punch together. Low End Lock keeps the bass mono and phase-aligned below its crossover.
16 parts, Stacks and Multis
Sixteen parts on sixteen MIDI channels with eight stereo outputs. Layer parts into a Stack or save all sixteen as a Multi.
Intelligence on the panel
Variations such as Brighter or Darker are measured against their claim before they apply. Explain describes a sound in words, and a sound map finds similar patches.

Claude
Claude can help
In Nebula DAW, Claude can read the settings map, get and change any part's sound, modulation routes and wavetables, list and load patches, Stacks and Multis, save patches, explain a sound, measure it, make measured variations, list wavetables and play a note. In Logic, the Nebula Plugins connector adds the same tools plus undo and redo.
Measured
What the tests show
- Low End Lock: 0.26 to 0.58 dB of note-to-note bass spread over 100 notes of a 16-voice unison bass, against 13.15 dB unlocked
- Wavetable aliasing: -105 dB in Fast and Divine modes
- Latest suite: 295 checks, door 39, 0 failures; state round trip clean
- validate.sh passes: auval strict, -r 5, -oop, -stress 60 and pluginval strictness 10; rt-check passes
- Benchmark Multi in Nebula DAW: 100% of real time with no workgroup, 29% with the device's audio workgroup
Questions
Nebula Genesis FAQ
Is it a Virus clone?
No. The Access Virus TI2 is used as the benchmark for sound and for the plug-in's structure. Nothing else is borrowed from it.
Is there a VST3 version?
Not yet. The build makes an Audio Unit only. VST3 and other formats come after the owner approves the sound.
Does it add latency?
No. Genesis reports zero latency in every configuration.
Can it duck to my kick?
Yes. Duck and Kick Lock follow the family's kick on MIDI channel 10, note 36, which Nebula DAW sends from Nebula Kick.
What does it need?
macOS 11 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. It loads as AU or VST3 in Logic, Ableton Live, Bitwig, Cubase, FL Studio, Reaper and Nebula DAW.
